Obelisk Miniatures - 10mm Conquistador Caballeros

Hello all,
Back to the units eagerly awaiting for their fifteen minutes of fame.. This time in the spotlight are twelve Conquistador Caballeros from a small miniatures company (Obelisk Miniatures) that makes quite good minis. These are well detailed and the horses are close to perfect. A fun thing is that the right arm is separate and comes with both a sword and a lance - allowing for great flexibility and diversity.

The only negative thing is that said right arm does seem a bit larger than it should be - but that is a minor problem.

The company seems to only have two ranges of 10mm - Incas and Spanish invaders. But they are probably the only site where you can get 10mm Incas!

Best regards,
Kasper

Warmaster Ancients and Medieval - 10mm Knights and Light Cavalry

Hello all!

This is the (as yet very unfinished) main page for my painted Knights and Light Cavalry - a register of brand, type and what they are normally used as.
Also, of course, they will be accompanied by a photo taken in my "photostudio". All pictures are of course clickable which allows viewing them in larger sizes :-).
Knights
Will be arriving soonish...
Light Cavalry

Other Information: Excellent models with a superb amount of detail - especially the horses are great whereas the faces might be the weakest part of these models. I think the shields worked great and they are a pleasure to field.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brand: Games Workshop
Type: Chaos Maurauder Horsemen
Other Information: Excellent models with a superb amount of detail. Some of the best 10mm available.
Even though this is a fantasy unit it is often used in my armies as any type of light cavalry - especially of the barbaric nature for which their savage appearance is well suited.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brand: Steve Barber Models
Type: Early German Cavalry
Other Information: A really nice unit from the talented Steve Barber - only ten models and no leader-types though. But more detail than you can shake wet paint at and looks really mobile once painted and based.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brand: Kallistra Miniatures
Type: Armoured Cavalry Normans
Other Information: Great minis - as always form Kallistra - with great horses, positions and excellent shields. A pleasure to paint and they look great as "heavy" normal cavalry.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brand: Obelisk Miniatures
Type: Conquistador Caballeros
Other Information: Great minis - looks very knight-like. They have a separate right arm that comes with either a sword or a lance, giving great variety. Suffers from a lack of noticeable detail (pennants or some such thing) and a larger than normal right arm. Works great as "heavy" light cavalry (e.g. Teutonian Light Horses)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brand: Pendraken
Type: Gaul Cavalry AG6
Other Information: Uninteresting minis - single pose, few details and fat short horses.

Best regards,
Kasper
