Blood Bowl Daemons: Pleasure Daemons resting in their new home

Hello all,
Nope - these two are by no means daemons, although they do have an evil streak at times - turn your back from your grass sheets and they will be there within a second.

Cats,

Anyways, what I wanted to show today was the entire team of the Fifty Shades of Purple resting in their new home:

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, fiend, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted, base, Oldhammer, sally 4th, box

Another box from Sally 4th, which shows how one is large enough to hold several bloodbowl teams. In my case the above box holds each and every single painted Blood Bowl figure I own, revealing the less than impressive collection :-).

All the best,
Kasper

Blood Bowl Daemonettes: The Fifty Shades of Purple (IX) - All Done and Ready to Rumble!

Hello all,

Finally, the Fifty Shades of Purple-team is done - ready to rule the Blood Bowl world for generations to come!

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, fiend, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted, base, Oldhammer

As mentioned here, the team is a "count as" Dark Elves, using the old classic and brilliant Daemonettes of Slaanesh from Games Wokshop. It contains one of each of the Daemonettes (sans the elusive Gristlewhip..) with a doublette of two, and a Fiend of Slaanesh to be used as a "big guy".

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, fiend, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted, base, Oldhammer

Each is its own shade of purple, hence the name, ranging from almost black to almost white - been great fun to paint, and also looks both diverse and and as a cohesive team.

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, fiend, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted, base, Oldhammer

The Daemonettes turned out to pretty perfect for Blood Bowl, only a single one totes a sword while the rest are unarmed (except for their claws of course...) and are thus the perfect ball players.

The bases were easy  and if curious there is a guide here showing how to do them.

Now I just need to get my son back into playing Blood Bowl, and a few friends to rekindle their interest and then the Daemonettes are ready for their first tournament :-).

Hope you have enjoyed the pictures - the team was fun to collect and paint and I truly hope they will also be fun to play.

Kasper

Blood Bowl Daemonettes: The Fifty Shades of Purple (XIII) (Fiend of Slaanesh)

Hello all,
Now what would a Blood Bowl team be without a large, boneheaded big guy to knock the opponents out of the way? Even though my 'count-as-a' Dark Elf team of lovely daemonettes won't get to feel the protection of a bi guy often, the plan is to use the team as different "soft-teams". So as a human team they might have use of an Ogre once in a while.

What is more important is that it gave me the opportunity to paint one of the truly chaotic creatures named fiend of Slaanesh:

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, fiend, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted

As the Fiend of Slaanesh were not given colourful names (as were the Daemonettes) - perhaps because they were multipart sculpts - I've decided this lovely being will henceforth be known as Sintongue!

These are weird creatures - even for Chaos. There are a ton of mixed creature parts in this sculpt and all though the sculpt it self is not that great, the mini is great fun and looks very suitable for the Blood Bowl pitch.

It was fun to paint - but in hindsight I would have used a few more bold colours to make her (him? it?) more visible. I'm ashamed but I simply couldn't be bothered to highlight all the scales... :-/.

It still turned out all right and does look like something that could knock a Goblin into next week.

Anyways, thanks for looking - next time the entire team will be revealed, so stay tuned :-).

Blood Bowl Daemonettes: The Fifty Shades of Purple (VII)

Hello all,
The last two lovely daemonettes painted and ready to rumble!

This time the Bloodbowl team - the Fifty Shades of Purple - are joined by the always adorable Fleshthrob who is seen wearing this summers hottest leather legging. Beside her we find the mysterious daemonette known simply as "the thirteenth daemonette":

Slaanesh, Daemonette, demonette, Fleshthrob, thirteenth, unreleased, oop, Games, Workshop, blood, bowl, team, painted

If you look at the original poster for the release of the daemonettes by Games Workshop, there are only twelve daemonettes:

(taken from Stuff of Legends (http://www.solegends.com/citcat19912/c20254rcdaemonettes-01.htm)).

However, as all daemonette aficionados know, there was a thirteenth released. She doesn't have a fancy name but is one of the best of the models, and quite original in her pose etc.

In fact, I think Mrs. thirteenth and Fleshthrob are my two favourite of these old sculpts.

Now the entire team is almost ready - just got the "big guy" to show and then the entire team will be revealed.
Oh, and I am still searching for a copy of the last daemon I need: the mysterious Gristlewhip...

All the best,
Kasper
